Sosyoperest egitim hayatina gazeteci olma hayaliyle baslamis, universitede aldigi secmeli dersler ile gonlu yavas yavas sosyolojiye kaymis, katildigi bir alan calismasiyla birlikte bu dalin hakikaten cok guzel oldugunda karar kilmis ve uzmanlik alanini degistirmis bir genctir. Hala genc sayilir. Bugun doktora ogrencisi, arastirmacidir.

Bloguma "sosyoperest" diyerek yeni bir kelime yaratmis oldum..Sosyolojinin "sosyo" sunu alip farsca "seven tapan" anlamina gelen "perest" kelimesi ile birlestirerek dogu bati karisimi bir tanim kurgulamis bulundum :)

Blogu kurma amacim sosyoloji sevenler arasinda bir paylasim alani olusturmak. Vaktimiz oldugunda yolumuzu degistirip ugradigimiz, selamlasip sahipleriyle muhabbete daldigimiz bir dukkan misali..sosyoloji dukkani..

Sosyoperestin ingilizce/turkce cift dilli bir blog olmasina calisacagim. Boylelikle Turkiye'li olmasa da Turkiye ile ilgilenen kisilerle de muhabbet edebilecegimizi umuyorum..

Presentation

I am a phd student on sociology at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, interested in social movements (islamic movements in particular), political parties, political participation and in some subjects concerning the essential political dynamics of Turkey (nationalism, kemalism, militarism, conservatism etc..). I have lived for 5 years in France and now have returned back to my city, Istanbul.

In this blog, I will try to share with foreign rearders my observations on sociology and politics in Turkey,  in a wide framework which includes as topics not only political parties but also feminism, youth, education, urban life or culture etc.

I suggest also to discover other parts, especially "articles", "researches" and "video lecture" pages of my blog where I started to create a data base from the works of scholars studying on the social life and politics in Turkey.
